An infusion of Rooibos with a sweet, spicy and fruity taste with a hint of honey. Rooibos is a perfect, tasty drink for everyone, at any time of the day. Rooibos can also be drunk very well before bedtime, without any sleeping problems. This tea is a delicious cold and warm drink.

Rooibos is not a real tea but an infusion of the Rooibos plant. Real tea contains caffeine and tannin, but this one has not any. This plant grows in the vicinity of the Cedermountain in South Africa and is also known as Aspalathus Linearis. It is planted for the production of a drink that looks like tea. This "herbal tea" is very popular nowadays.

Rooibos has a positive effect on various health problems. It is a low plant with small twigs which looks like needles. These needle leaves are picked by hand, stamped and placed in the sun to oxidize. This creates the red color. The high quality of this Rooibos is characterized by the proportion of needles compared to the twigs. The more needles, the better quality.

The China White Monkey is a white tea from Hunan, South-East China. In the first days of spring, they harvest the first tea buds by hand. The tea has a delicate character, is energy-healing, pleasant, light and with sweet notes of white fruit.

You can drink this tea between the courses of a dinner. The tea makes the mouth clean and calm to welcome the next course.

Deze thee is niet bedoeld om de dorst te lessen maar om te genieten. Maak kleine kopjes en laat de thee rollen in de mond. De smaak zal nog lang blijven hangen. Een goede Gyokuro heeft een fantastische zoetheid met groente en zeewierachtige tonen. Het geeft een lichte tinteling in de mond en een bijzondere, heerlijke, lange nasmaak.

De Gyokuro wordt gezien als de hoogste kwaliteit Japanse thee en wordt geproduceerd door theemeester Sakamoto in Kirishima, in het district Kagoshima. Gyokuro betekent Dauw parel of dierbare dauw.

De Gyokuro wordt gemaakt van de variëteiten Yabukita en Saemidori. De theestruiken worden 4-6 weken voor de oogst bedekt met bamboe matten. Door de schaduw die ontstaat wordt er meer chlorofyl en aminozuren geproduceerd. Hoe meer aminozuren een blad bevat, hoe zoeter de thee wordt. De blaadjes worden eens per jaar geoogst met de hand, hierdoor blijft de moederplant sterk en gezond. Dit bevordert de hoeveelheid mineralen, antioxidanten, aminozuren en vitamines in het blad.

Na de oogst worden de theeblaadjes licht gestoomd. Daarna worden de blaadjes gerold, gedraaid en gedroogd.

Dit elegante witte theepotje is speciaal ontworpen door Madame Tseng en gemaakt van echt porselein. Dit theepotje heeft een inhoud van 300 ml. De pot heeft geen filter, de theeblaadjes blijven achter in de pot bij het uitschenken en kunnen gemakkelijk opnieuw worden opgeschonken.
